Coronavirus Relief Funding to Students Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF I, II, and III) Claremont McKenna College has signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that CMC has used the applicable amount of funds designated under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act and the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. Students not eligible for Pell received an amount equivalent to one third of the Pell-eligible amount, reflecting the same allocation method used by the Department of Education. Consistent with U.S. Department of Education funding allocation, Pell-eligible students received the majority of emergency grant funding. Students not eligible for Pell received an amount equivalent to one third of the Pell-eligible amount, reflecting the same allocation method used by the Department of Education. HEERF I: All Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) eligible students who were enrolled part-time or full-time at CMC (on campus and in approved off-campus programs) as of March 13, 2020 received emergency grants. Consistent with U.S. Department of Education funding allocation, Pell-eligible students received the majority of emergency grant funding. Students not eligible for Pell received an amount equivalent to one third of the Pell-eligible amount, reflecting the same allocation method used by the Department of Education.
